How to Increase a Blog’s Page Views
Most statistics packages measure both for you - ‘visitors’ (or unique visitors) measures the number of people, but ‘page views’ measures the number of pages on your blog that those visitors look at.
The number of page views per visitor varies quite significantly from blog to blog (based on many factors) but there are a number of reasons why bloggers might wish to increase this statistic including:
1. Interlink your Posts
Perhaps one of the simplest ways to increase the page views on your blog is to send yourself traffic by links between posts from within posts. While for some of us it might feel a little funny promoting your own writing in this way . if it’s done in a way that adds value to experience of your blog by linking to other relevant things that you’ve written on the topics that you’re writing about.
2. Highlight Related Posts
One way to interlink your posts that doesn’t happen from within a post is to have a ‘related posts’ section at the end of your entries. Of course you can also manually run a ‘related posts’ section also by simply ending your article with other relevant things you’ve written that readers might like to check out.
3. Add a Newsletter or Post Notification Services
One thing that I’ve noticed on some of my blogs is the power of having an email newsletter to increase page views. Other services automatically notify readers via email of new posts to your blog which you might also find useful (for example Feedburner).
4. ‘Best of’ Pages
The other thing about the posts that readers viewed from top menus is that many of them are call ‘best of’ or ‘compilation’ pages that link to multiple other pages on your blog. For example the ‘Top 20 Posts‘ is a prime example
5. Write a Series of Posts
Writing a series of posts on a blog is an effective way of building page views on two fronts. For starters as you write the series you will find it draws people back to your blog over a number of days because they want to find out what you’ve got to say next.
Secondly it’s also great once you’ve finished the series because if you’re smart about interlinking them you’ll find that people will read your series (with each post on a different page) from start to finish.

1. Bikin interlink di post anda
Cara paling sederhana untuk meningkatkan page view dalam blog anda adalah bikin traffic sendiri dengan link antar post lain di dalam post. Mungkin hal ini sedikit lucu untuk mempromosikan tulisan sendiri dengan cara itu. Cara ini akan menambah page view anda dimana pengunjung akan di bawa ke tulisan-tulisan anda yang lain.
2. Highlight Post yang berhubungan
Salah satu cara untuk interlink post anda bila tidak dilakukan dalam post itu sendiri adalah dengan membuat related post atau post yang berhubungan pada akhir artikel anda. Jadi pada akhir artikel kasih link kemana aja artikel yang mempunyai topik yang berhubungan.
3. Tambahkan Newsletter dan Layanan Pemberitahuan Post
Satu hal yang saya sadari dari beberapa blog adalah kekuatan yang dipunyai oleh sebuah newsletter dari e-mail untuk meningkatkan page view. Layanan yang lain secara otomatis memberitahukan kepada para pembaca tentang adanya post terbaru dari blog anda yang tentunya sangat berguna (contohnya Feedburner)
4. Post-post terbaik
hal lain dari post yang pembaca baca dari menu utama adalah post-post yang terbaik dari bebrapa post yang ada. Secara singkat, buatlah best of post anda terus bikin link agar pembaca mudah mengaksesnya yang tentunya akan meningkatkan page view.
5. Tulis Post besambung
Menulis post besambung tentu merupakan jalan efektif untuk meningkatkan page view dari dua arah. Pertama ketika anda menulis post bersambung, orang akan datang lagi ke blog anda lebih dari beberapa hari karena mereka ingin tau apa yang akan anda katakan kemudian
Kedua, hal ini akan hebat ketika anda menyelesaikannya karena anda pintar untuk membuat link di antara post bersambung itu dan anda akan menemukan orang akan membacanya dari awal sampai akhir.
Itulah beberapa hal yang bisa kita lakukan untuk meningkatkan page view, saya pikir tidak salahnya untuk mencoba,, bagaimana dengan anda?
